We are looking for a talented HSE Specialist for our plant in Izmit.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

• Contribute to defining the procedures related to HSE topics, in full respect of the local legislation/rules and of the HSE policy and of the current management/organizational systems
• Contribute to the implementation of Risk Assessment, with the HSE Manager (local) or contribute to suggest improvement initiatives in the assigned area/field (safety, environment, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, management systems) (HQ)
• Support the HSE Manager in the assignment of the needed preventive/protective measures and the related control methods
• Promote and contribute to training initiatives, cooperating with HR and with the managers of the site (plant/offices)
• Support local industrial projects by assessing their impact on HSE issues
• Cooperate with the HSE Manager in producing statistic information needed for HSE Data management
• Run root causes analysis and define improvement areas
• Participate actively to global Company HSE projects
• Proactively provide technical, administrative, and behavioral coaching and assistance in the resolution of safety issues
• Periodically take measures to OHS Management Systems Performance and report the results
• Support internal HSE communication activities
• Coordinate emergency response plans and fire prevention activities
• Implement and maintain environmental management systems (EMS) and ensure that sustainable practices are followed and promote waste reduction and recycling efforts
• Encourage a safety-conscious work environment by engaging employees in HSE initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE within multination manufacturing companies, tire industry will be an asset
• At least min. B-class Occupational Safety Certificate
• NEBOSH and CMSE® certifications will be a plus
• Good command of English written and spoken
• Good command of MS Office applications, Solidworks knowledge nice to have
• Strong skills in planning and time management, team management, analytical thinking, open-mindedness, problem solving, decision making, and proactive approach
• No obstacles for international business travels
• Military completed for male candidates
