Our group of companies, Prosim Kimya acting as a leading representation company in the field of industrial raw materials for over 25 years and Polimer Arge Plastik Sanayi ve Tic AS producing polyester resins under Reichhold license since 2017, are leading raw material suppliers for powder coatings in the EMEA region.

We are seeking ‘’Occupational Health and Safety Engineer’’  to take part in our expanding organization in our plant located in Kartepe-Kocaeli

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical,Electrical/Electronic Materials/Metallurgy Engineering
• A Class OHS specialist certificate.
• Good knowledge of  English,
• At least 4 years of experience about chemical processes,
• Have ISO 45001 lead auditor and/or internal auditor certificate,
• Experience in ISO 45001 management systems,
• Experience in ISO 14001 Environmental management system,
• Trained in incident investigation and root cause analysis,
• Experience in the preparation of explosion protection document,
• Preferably experience in fire safety and escape projects,
• Preferably experience in process safety, hazard and operability analysis,
• Preferably have chemical assessment specialist certificate,
• Preferably competent certificate about periodic checks of work equipments,
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, good team player, analytical thinking,
• Living or willing to live in Kocaeli / Kartepe,

Job Description

• Responsible of ensuring the company's compliance with all Turkish Labor Law, Occupational Health and Safety Law and Protection of Personal Data Regulation and other related regulations effectively with all levels of management.
• Ensure tasks which define in health and safety regulations,
• Operate safety audits of workplace and employees and reporting of findings,
• Determining corrective/preventive actions and following actions,
• Investigating work accident, near misses and hazards and performing root cause analysis,
• Planning and implementing ISO 45001 management system activities,
• Planning and performing ISO 45001 Management System's internal and second party audits,
• Determining occupational health and safety requirements for process setup and machine purchase,
• Implementing and following the work permit system,
• Management of change; assessing and controlling of planned temporary and permanent changes that impact ohs performance,
• Maintaining and improving a processes needed to prepare for and respond to potential emergency situations
