We are looking for a Trade Finance Lawyer to be assigned at our headquarters in Maslak, Istanbul.

Qualifications: 

•  Bachelor’s degree in the Faculty of Law; holder of the Attorney’s License

•  5-6 years of experience in finance and trading industries as well as in trading, trade financing and contracts

•  Excellent command of Turkish and English; strong written and oral communication skills

•  Strong knowledge of trade finance

•  Excellent negotiation and drafting skills

•  Good communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

• Work directly with the company’s trading team to understand the needs, or with other lawyers in the firm to create work that meets company requirements

• Identify the financial needs of the trading team and negotiate the trade finance agreements and relevant security documents with the creditors

• Carry out the legal aspect of the financing process from the beginning until closing and report it to Senior Legal Manager

• Analyze situations quickly and determine which type of contract is the most appropriate for each situation

• Draft agreements, contracts, or other legal documents according to client specifications in a way that protects company interest 

• Review, negotiate and execute trading-related financial arrangements and associated security documents

• Provide legal advice to clients about their rights and responsibilities under the contracts

• Determine if new legislation impacts existing contracts or agreements

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams
