Vacancy Announcement: Teachers of English (Turkish nationals)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Turkish-American Association is currently seeking Teachers of English to be employed as EFL teachers at its headquarters located in Cinnah, Ankara. Applicants who meet the criteria given below will be contacted for the position.

EDUCATION

Graduates of English Language Teaching, American Culture and Literature, English Language and Literature or Translation and Interpreting Studies.

EXPERIENCE

Preferably, we are looking for teachers who can teach Business English.

·       Be able to work part-time on weekends and weekday evenings.

·       Minimum 3 years of experience with adult groups or the potential to develop these skills.

·       Strong communication skills are required.

·       Familiarity with 21st-century skills and the Communicative Approach is preferred.

·       Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons for a range of classes.

·       Teach individuals or classes face-to-face or through online learning.

·       Help students improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills via individual and group sessions.

·       Mark tests and provide appropriate feedback on oral and written work.

·       Attend and contribute to training sessions.

·       Undertake administrative tasks, such as keeping student registers and attendance records.

·       Prone to teamwork, and the ability to work well within a team.

·       Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and discipline.
