Your Profile:

To be successful in this position, you:

•        have a university degree or higher education in engineering or business administration
•        have business understanding and affinity with automotive products
•        are results driven and able to break down complex issues into manageable portions
•        have good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
•        have highly developed analytical skills, accuracy and reliability
•        can work independently in multi-disciplinary teams
•        are computer literate (MS Excel, PowerPoint)
•        are willing to travel up to 20%
•        are fluent in English, another European language is an asset
  
•        purchasing experience is an asset 
•        expedience in production tooling and equipment is an asset (technical and commercial)

Your Team:

Do you want to take part in the development of the car of tomorrow? The Purchasing team at Toyota Motor Europe can offer you this challenge. Purchasing plays a key strategic role in the development of our future products.  As a buyer you will develop and manage all aspects of the commercial relationship between Toyota and its suppliers, located all over the globe.  This position will allow you to have an insight into the most recent technical innovations and will enable you to get a deep understanding of how a leading multinational operates and interacts with numerous internal and external parties.

Your Responsibilities:

•  You purchase production tools & equipment for current and future models/vehicles
•  You negotiate with our suppliers to achieve the best cost reductions
•  You manage all commercial issues related to your portfolio of responsibility
•  You are responsible to make appropriate supplier selection recommendations to senior management.
•  You develop comprehensive understanding of technological and market trends within the automotive industry.
•   You work closely with Global Toyota Purchasing.  You will develop commodity strategies at regional level and have direct input towards global strategies.
