SMR Plast Met Molds and Tools, located in Tuzla Industrial Zone, is the Subsidiaries of Motherson Group which is one of the leading Groups in the automotive industry.
We are looking for a "TOOL ENGINEER" who will be working in Turkey and reporting to Hungary with the following qualifications

Job Objective:

- Supporting design department in feasibility and simplification during the development phase

- Configuration and worldwide procurement of injection mould tools considering the design of the components suitable for plastics and compliance with the SDS - development guidelines.

- Implement and further develop the SMR mould development standards to ensure the required mould and component quality and cycle times.

- Compliance with the planned project times and budgets.

Job Responsibilities:

- Leading the preparation of quotations in SDS phase “0” for dedicated projects

- Defining the tool strategy per project in cooperation with OPCO

- Prepare, provide and defend tool CBD’s internally and externally 

- Co-development of the DFM (design for manufacture) process during the product and tool development phases (SDS phase 1&2), as part of the project core team (cross-functional team) to achieve best possible mass production tool feasibility and robustness.

- Define tool and component simplifications

- Support the component and tool development phase and tool sourcing process according global definition

- Support the tool sourcing committee

Establish and maintain business relationships with tooling suppliers.

- Train and develop the Project Engineers in technical tool requirements, to achieve more basic knock ledge in production-oriented component design.

- Leading MoldFlow Analyst & Preliminary Tool Designer

- Manage tooling suppliers from start of enquiries through commissioning decision to final order (internal and external).

- Provide on-site support to toolmakers to validate tool and component quality, process and production readiness of injection moulds.

- Plan and execute mould and component modifications up to SOP and 90 days after SOP (90 Days Hand Over) if required.

- Monitoring and progress reporting of projects on a monthly basis (Monthly Reports). 

- Monitoring research and development of latest technologies in tooling to optimize SMR tooling concepts.

- Contribute to the Lessons-Learned processes.
