QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Commitment

The Financial Controller role is part of the Operational Accounting Department and reports within the Global Finance Function.  The person holding the role works according to Company Policies, SOPs, instructions, and relevant regulatory requirements.

The Financial Controller is responsible of the financial matters (financial statements, statutory requirements, etc) for a specific Cluster1.  The role is defined by controlling and monitoring with the objective to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, proper and up-to-date internal controls, efficient processes, and accurate supporting systems and tools. This position analyses and controls the business performance of the company in terms of income statements and balance sheet items.

The Financial Controller identifies areas of improvement and suggests/implements corrective measures to bring efficiencies into the company.

The person is also responsible for the coordination and follow-up of the outsourced accounting services (demand management) being the SPOC (single point of contact) and serves as an interface between the service provider and the legal entity stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates, Monitors, and Supervises internal and external accounting activities for the corresponding Cluster.
• Drives and secures the Accounting function works in alignment with listed company requirements.
• Secures accounting compliance with Local GAAP and IFRS standards for the companies in the Cluster.
• Coordinates and monitors the periodic financial closing activities for the Cluster, securing accurate and timely delivery of the financial statements.
• Secures the Group Standard Internal Control Framework (ICFR) is implemented and followedCoordinates the periodic Audit activities (Group and Local audits).
• Secures compliance during the implementation of new systems.
• Drives and contributes to process harmonization work.
• Promotes a service-oriented team approach within the Cluster.
• Coordinates, and serves as SPOC for companies with outsourced compliance services (e.g., BDO).
• Coordinates and drives the change management work related to Finance for the corresponding Cluster.
• Supports the Business upon request during the Budget process.
• Back up to the “Accountant II” role.

Position Requirements

• University’s degree in Economics or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 5 years experience working in a global listed company having managed companies in several countries preferably within a service organization (e.g., Shared Services Centre) or within the Finance Function.
• Recent experience in driving a company toward a listing in the Main Market.
• Good local GAAP knowledge in relation to inhouse company, local GAAP understanding in relation to the outsourced company.
• IFRS understanding.Good knowledge of ERP tools and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• High command of English language, in both oral and written form, fluent in French both written and oral, Italian valuable.
• Good organizational, leadership, and coordination skills.Ability to build, maintain and manage efficient and effective international teams.
• Ability to create good relations and act in various environments.Engaged, positive, proactive, and self-driven.Well-structured.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) applying situational communication and the ability to influence others.
