Position: Production Engineer

Location: Izmir / Turkey

Job Description: Mutlu Metal is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Production Engineer to collaborate closely with our Production Manager and lead the coordination of our production departments. As a Production Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in achieving targeted production outputs, ensuring seamless operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on total quality management and lean production principles.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Production Manager to organize and manage production activities, ensuring that planned production targets are met.
• Coordinate and oversee the activities of production departments, promoting efficient workflows and optimal resource utilization.
• Analyze production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Champion the principles of total quality management and lean production, fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address production-related challenges, ensuring timely resolution.
• Prepare and deliver reports on production metrics, tracking performance against targets and presenting data-driven insights to management.
• Utilize your expertise in stainless product production, machining, welded manufacturing, and cold forming methods to optimize processes and ensure high-quality output.
• Lead or participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to resolve production issues and prevent recurrence.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to drive innovation in production methods.
• Taking an active role in studies such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, TPM to be carried out for the effective implementation and dissemination of lean production techniques in the field,
• To control and supervise field operations for the implementation of occupational health and safety and environmental management system requirements,

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Min. Of 8 years hands-on experience in production engineering within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on stainless product production, machining, welded manufacturing, and cold forming methods.
• Proven track record in coordinating production activities, meeting production targets, and driving process improvements.
• Strong knowledge of Technical drawing reading, quality management systems and lean production principles.
• Proficiency in data analysis , MS Office aplications, erp systems (preferably CANIAS) and reporting tools to present production metrics and insights effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and levels of the organization.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to apply root cause analysis methodologies.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in production and reporting.
