Software Engineer For Bus Connectivity Team

Job Description:

 In this role, you will be responsible for software development and engineering activities supporting the delivery of digital products to end customer via connectivity and application software solutions. Perform software development activities to include, but not limited to, software architecture, design, coding, unit testing, integration, deployment and maintenance. You will work closely with other engineering teams in development and with IT to create innovative solutions for Daimler buses.

Furthermore you are also investigating opportunities for external collaborations such as universities or innovate start-ups.

• Work in an international agile team in an SAFe/SCRUM environment for iterative development and improvement
• Create digital products, implementation of object detection algorithms or remote diagnose solutions to bring innovative features into the market
• Execute full software development lifecycle activities for Remote Diagnosis or computer vision topics using Java, Python, C++  
• Enhance passenger surveillance algorithms such as face recognition to be calculated in the backend or onboard Control units
• Create remote diagnose scripts to ensure remote vehicle diagnose by using Java
• Ensure digital product solutions regarding to IT-Processes linked with frontend and backend solutions
• Sprint grooming, planning, prioritization, and execution using Scaled Agile.  
• Drive and contribute to end-to-end local and global product quality strategy and processes. Coordinate weekly quality assurance pre-deployment bug review efforts. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders for future telematics features. (local, global, product owners, scrum masters) 

Qualifications:

• Master Degree in Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or equivalent disciplines and with minimum 3 years  industrial experience.
• Experience with Software Development  methodologies especially in Java, Python
• Strong knowledge of software development and testing processes
• Experience on agile development methods (SCRUM, SAFe) and tools (Jira, Git, Kanban, Confluence, )
• Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to groups and stakeholders
• High motivation in learning new technologies and strong teamplayer always searching to improve the collaboration
• Willingness to realize and improve solutions in the team
• Ability to understand customer needs and transfer it to solutions
• Very good Communication skills in German and English
