Procurement Engineer

IHI DALGAKIRAN MACHINERY which was established with the partnership of IHI Holding from Japan and DALGAKIRAN Group from Turkey is the first and only Turbo Compressor manufacturer of our country.

As IHI DALGAKIRAN, we are looking for a candidate with the following criteria to carry out supplier relations and procurement activities in our fast-growing team. This candidate will be responsible to find, contact, and follow-up with suppliers. 

To be assigned as a Procurement Engineer at our company’s Kocaeli / Dilovası location;  

  QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduated from Engineering departments (preferably Mechanical Engineering),
• Having a good level of English to communicate verbally and in written,
• Having minimum2-3 years of procurement experience is an asset,
• Having excellent communication and negotiation skills with suppliers, forwarders and internal customers, 
• Strongly motivated and self-disciplined team player,
• Proficient in use of MS Office Applications and ERP Programs (LOGO),
• Having specific knowledge of contract management and negotiation,
• Having excellent organization, planning, analytical thinking, negotiation, proactive problem solving and time management skills,
• Accustomed to multi-tasking,
• Able to work well under stress in a fast-paced environment,
• Having a valid driving license and being an active driver,
• Residing in Istanbul-Anatolian side or Kocaeli (İzmit, Derince, Körfez, Dilovası, Gebze, Çayırova) or relocate.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To place orders coming from planning department to local or foreign suppliers,
• To follow the all process from the order to the delivery  and providing solution for problems  which related to the process.
• To compare and select the optimum supplier and conduct price negotiations,
• To make  supplier audits and supplier visits periodically
• Search for alternative suppliers.
• Following periodically market raw material fluctuations and reporting
