Product Development Specialist (Packaging Process)

We are looking for a Product Development Specialist (Packaging Process) for our packaging management department. This position will manage new packaging developments in the product development process with suppliers, productions and customers according to requirements of related departments. Optimization projects to change existing packaging to ensure a cost-optimized supply-chain are included. Main products are in the first step tubular heating elements and gas applications (metal parts). The position is located in Ergene with affected production sites according to our production network

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Departments,
• 3 years of experience about product development or packaging development is preferred
• Preferably knowledge in packaging of tubular heating elements and metal parts 
• Excellent in both oral and written English.
• Diligent and independent way of working
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Mobility and willingness to travel
• MS Excel, Word and Power Point, reading and understanding of technical drawings are preferred
• SAP skills are preferred
• Completed military service for male candidates
• Residing / able to reside in Çorlu or Lüleburgaz 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Drive continuous packaging improvement to achieve a cost-optimized supply chain (supplier to customer) with sufficient product protection.
• Work with cross functional teams to ensure packaging is developed on time and meet requirements of all parties involved according to the PDP process.
• Collect all requirements related to packaging (supplier to customer) and prepare packaging concept with supplier.
• Evaluation and approval of packaging materials with help of affected departments.
• Provide packaging spec and packaging prototypes for product & pack stability evaluation.
• Creation of bills of material (BOM) for packaging in SAP, change/adjust of master data in SAP.
• Maintain and documentate relevant packaging information in PLM software (work orders, new packaging parts etc.).
• Manage various qualification tests and reports for packaging materials by using external authorized labs.
• Support purchasing department to identify and introduce suitable packaging suppliers.
