• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field required, Master’s degree desirable,
• Minimum 5 years of related experience preferred in chemical Manufacturing/plant experience,
• C / B Level Safety Certificate from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security,
• Expert level know-how on EHS Management systems and risk assessment methodologies,
• Experience in Auditing ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001,
• Proficiency in written and spoken English,
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills,
• Having no obstacle to travel inland or abroad,
• Residing or to be residing in Yalova, İzmit or İstanbul (Anatolian Side).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead execution of the site’s annual EHS Plan and be responsible for the deployment of a behavioral-based safety culture,
• Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures for safety compliance & best practices,
• Build capability of site resources to support implementation of EHS programming,
• Inspect the facility to identify environmental, health, and safety risks,
• Lead incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans and report them to management,
• Participate in formal EHS reviews of existing equipment modifications, new equipment purchases, and changes in site processes,
• Ensure that required regulatory permits are acquired, that reports are submitted to regulatory agencies, and any site permit conditions (e.g. sampling, recordkeeping) are met,
• Facilitate the completion of a site-wide annual EHS training plan,
• Lead EHS audits and/or self-assessments,
• Regular follow-up of ISO 45001 ISG Management Systems documentation.
