Responsibilities

• To develop safety strategies to meet regulatory requirements in the use, maintenance, and operation of machinery in the Bozüyük Plant.
• To evaluate and determine possible safety risks in machinery and facilities.
• To perform safety-related approvals with and without external service providers, taking into account manufacturer and operator requirements.
• To the development of safety concepts for existing machinery, including conducting risk assessments.
• To make machine and technical documentation analysis and to carry out a detailed evaluation of EN ISO 13849 requirements.
• To support machine investment projects from risk assessment to documentation and commissioning and to conduct a brief overview of risk reduction after the completion of the risk assessment.

Competencies

• To have good knowledge about the international requirements of the standards in terms of mechanical protection (Machinery Directive and how harmonized standards apply, EN IEC 62061 and CE)
• To perform practical exercises in PL and SIL verification and to know the special properties of hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• To have successfully completed engineering studies in mechanical engineering, machinery safety, or a similar discipline (at least 5 years of experience in machinery safety and working environments (preferably))
• To know software such as MS Office programs and SAP (preferably) in the field of Safety Technologies and  English (Advanced)
• Knowledge of the application of local legal regulations regarding occupational health and safety, especially machine safety.
• To have a good knowledge and understanding of the risks associated with machinery, both electrical and mechanical.
