We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer reporting to the Process Superintendent.

Key responsibilities include:

• Optimize copper and zinc flotation processes to maximize efficiency, recovery, and productivity.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with the Process Engineer to develop and execute operational strategies and process enhancements.
• Conduct performance analyses, generate reports, and provide data-driven recommendations for plant optimization.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in daily plant operations.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to plant operators and junior engineers.
• Monitor and control process parameters, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance plant personnel’s technical skills and adherence to operating procedures.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and safety teams to ensure seamless plant operations and successful project execution.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in flotation processing.

The ideal candidate is required to have the following: 

• Strong commitment to safety and ability to lead by example in a processing plant environment.
• University degree in Mining Engineering or Mineral Processing Engineering (a Master’s or Doctorate preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in base metal flotation processing, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Proven expertise in process optimization, troubleshooting, and project management within a flotation plant.
• Preferably experienced in mass balancing, data reconciliation, and metal accounting.
• Experience with online analyzer systems is an asset.
• Proficient in designing, conducting, and analyzing plant trials.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.
• Expert proficiency in MS Office programs.
