MARKET DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST | BASF VEGETABLE SEEDS | İZMİR

Together and in collaboration with partners we are eager to improve our vegetable varieties and solutions for our customers, the vegetable value chain and consumers worldwide. To further develop and grow this ambition we are looking for a Market Development Specialist in İzmir.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical support and know how transfer to Operative Sales
  • Technical recommendations,
  • Complaint management,
  • Regular grower visits.
• Operative Marketing support
  • Premarketing (Opportunity Hunt),
  • Market data collection (Sub-Region market researchment, Grower, Crop,variety etc),
  • Product positioning plan implementation & Support,
  • Technical advises, spray & nutrition programs,
  • Promotion & Introduction activities (field advertising works,meetings,visits,events).
• Demand Creation (Variety, Crop),
• Technical Representation of sub-region (Write Tech articles, local crop status reports),
• Support demo trials: Product launch activities; Product efficacy (BASF Vegetable Seeds Business vs competition); Technical Support programs; Seed varieties,
• Plan, organize and execute field & greenhouse days, village & farmer meetings,
• Participate regional customer meetings, regular farm visits,
• Technical Presentation on farmer visits, customer meetings,
• Plan and keep technical market support,
• Ensure know how transfer and information exchange with Product Managers and Area Sales Managers,
• Be key account for all types of regional advisors (independent, retailers & state),
• Visit mega farms (with Area Sales Manager if needed),
• Reports to Area Sales Manager – West.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s in Agricultural engineering (preferably),
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Agricultural sector,
• Knowledge in vegetable seeds, plant protection, plant nutrition, plant production and farm management,
• Fluency in English,
• Good knowledge of MS Office,
• Excellent work organization and flexibility,
• Very good communication skills,
• Communicate effectively: Communicate with openness, clarity, organizational awareness and empathy to achieve the desired results,
• Collaborate for Achievement: Seek and act upon value-adding opportunities for collaboration within and across units.
