Roles :

• Implement required engineering changes into 2D drawings via Cad based program.
• Ensure design and drawings released according to customer specifications
• Time critical implementation of design changes during all program development phases
• Review designs with customer manufacturing team to ensure feasibility for instillation into vehicle
• Support design reviews, prototype harness and vehicle builds at Aptiv and customer locations
• Identify, track and resolve EDS design and manufacturing issues.
• Generate, review and evaluate potential cost reduction ideas
• Carry out CAD assembly investigations together with the responsible project engineers
• Participate in TVM, VA/VE and benchmarking activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical business administration.
• Previous practical design experience from an automotive background
• Proficient CAD experience using Autocad and Catia V5.
• Experience with working to Automotive design guidelines
• Working knowledge of DFMEA and APQP.
• Experience of working with, or design of, vehicle electrical systems
• Understanding of EDS design and development process
• Proficient with Microsoft office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Projects
• Fluent in English and excellent communication skills
